The Chilean Ministry of Health revoked its "Protected Borders Plan". The measure came into effect on May 9, 2023, and is being adopted after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the end of the Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) for SARS-CoV-2.

Consequently, the requirement for a PCR test upon entry into the country is eliminated as well as the COVID-19 vaccination certificate. Also the random testing of travelers, as stipulated in the plan, is discontinued.
